Raleigh, Sir Walter & H.A.Jones THE WAR IN THE AIR - being the story of the part played in the Great War by the R.A.F. £700.00
Oxford U.P. - complete set of original 1st edns (Vols 1 to 6 inc) plus map sets with Vols 3 & 5 (in boxes with matching cloth & titling) & Appendices volume. All vols vg int., with vg cloth;  Generally a very sound set. (Sir Walter Raleigh, a professional literary historian, was asked to write the official history; after completing Vol 1 he travelled to the near-east to research the further work and died soon after returning;  it was left to H.A.Jones to complete the History)  Included with this set is a vg example of the small book "Sir Walter Raleigh & the Air History". written  by Jones in 1922 to describe the short involvement of Sir Walter Raleigh in the early part of the History. It is a very worthwhile adjunct to the main work   (I need another example of this if anyone has one for disposal)
