(Sir Walter Raleigh, a professional literary historian, was asked to write the official history; after completing Vol 1 he travelled to the near-east to research the further work and died soon after returning; it was left to H.A.Jones to complete the History) Included with this set is a vg example of the small book "Sir Walter Raleigh & the Air History". written by Jones in 1922 to describe the short involvement of Sir Walter Raleigh in the early part of the History. It is a very worthwhile adjunct to the main work (I need another example of this if anyone has one for disposal) |
